The Biology Department at St. Ambrose University, invites applications for an eleven month full-time laboratory coordinator with teaching responsibilities. Responsibilities include managing stockrooms, ordering and maintaining inventories of chemicals and lab supplies, collecting biological waste for disposal, and supervising student workers in the preparation of materials and equipment for lab sections. The position also includes teaching 12 credit hours per academic year in the Biology Department. Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate courses in introductory biology for non-majors and General Education biology courses based on individual expertise. Minimum qualifications include the successful completion of a Master's degree in Biology or related field. Previous teaching or laboratory experience preferred. Priority will be given to applicants showing evidence of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. The position is open until filled.
