The Patricia VanBruwaene College of Business at St. Ambrose University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Management. This non-tenure track position is full-time to start in August, 2022. The successful candidate will teach a 12-credit hour load per semester. This may include a mix of courses in decision sciences, sustainability, supply chain/logistics/operations management at the undergraduate or graduate level. Course offerings and scheduling are determined primarily by the needs of the students and the program as determined by the Chair of the Management Department and the Director of the MBA program. In addition to teaching, the candidate will work closely with the Chair and the faculty to advance the curriculum and student opportunities in the focal areas of sustainability, supply chain/logistics/operations management. To that end, the candidate will work to develop relationships with businesses to provide real-life experience, internships, and guest lectures from area industries. The preferred candidate will possess an earned doctorate degree in a discipline related to Operations and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, project Management, or Management Science, and/or significant industry service. Experience using technology and different pedagogies to relate Sustainability, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Logistics,Project Management or Management Science, and/or significant industry service. Experience using technology and different pedagogies to relate Sustainability, Operations and Supply Chain Management to students through classroom and co-curricular engagement is required.
