St. Ambrose University welcomes qualified candidates to apply for two positions in the Occupational Therapy Department. One is a 12-month 0.5 part-time faculty position and the second is a 12-month 0.8 one-year renewable, visiting faculty position. Both positions would begin July 2022. Candidates will join a well-established department focused on educating ethical, innovative, and sensitive occupational therapists who will serve to support the occupational participation of others. Our department values reflective client-centered practice, professionalism, scholarship, and service.

The successful applicants will provide instruction within the OTD program courses with specific teaching responsibilities focused in their area of clinical experience. Beyond teaching, additional responsibilities will include advising students, participating in department curriculum planning, and service on department and college level committees.

An entry-level degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program and graduate education at the master's level is required with doctoral level graduate education preferred. Eligibility for licensure in the state of Iowa is required. Those with experience in teaching and supervising students are especially encouraged to apply.

The Occupational Therapy Department is one of seven health science departments within the College of Health and Human Services. Multiple inter-professional learning events and numerous outreach services enhance the student experience in Occupational Therapy and promote a culture of teamwork and advocacy for health and wellness in the Quad Cities.
