This is a full-time position available beginning July 1, 2022 and will report to the Provost & Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. The person selected will work in a collaborative environment with the three college deans and others and oversee the activities of the Graduate Council and its committees. Providing leadership in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to graduate education, the Dean will also supervise the Office of Graduate Admissions. St. Ambrose has a long-standing commitment to life-long learning and continuing education, and the Director of the Professional Development Center will report to the Dean. In addition to the characteristics identified above, applicants should demonstrate their understanding of the rapidly changing environment of higher education and their documented ability to provide inclusive and agile leadership that can respond in an environment that values shared governance.

Minimum requirements include a terminal degree, preferably in a discipline in which a graduate program is offered at St. Ambrose or a closely related field. Record of teaching and/or administration at the graduate level preferred.
