Microbiologist - TENURE TRACK

The Biology Department at St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning August 2023. Primary teaching responsibilities include: Microbiology courses with labs, major and non-major Introductory Biology courses with inquiry-based labs, and the possibility of additional courses based on the successful applicant's area of expertise. Ph.D. preferred (required at the time of tenure); previous teaching experience preferred. The Biology Department prides itself on providing students with strong critical thinking skills for careers and graduate programs in biology, as well as numerous health care professions. Priority will be given to applicants showing a strong commitment to effective teaching and scholarly engagement, as well as a willingness to teach in multiple delivery formats. Review of applications will begin November 1, 2022 and continue until the position is filled.
